The carpentry curriculum is revisited annually by many leaders in business and trades to address the needs of today’s employers. The Carpentry Program is the most hands-on of the skilled trades taught at the Enzweiler Building Institute. In addition to assignments in our carpentry shop, students often work with selected non-profit organziations to augment their hands-on training.
There are two courses in the Carpentry Program. The Year One-Rough Carpentry curriculum focuses on framing walls, windows, doors, and stairs as well as the fundamentals of the craft. In Year Two-Finish Carpentry, students work on cabinetry, furniture, trim and Independent Projects. The classes can be taken in any order or concurrently, allowing students to finish the program in just one year.
