Land Development Council
Under all is the land! It's one of our most precious commodities. The purpose of the Land Development Council is to protect private property rights by assisting government entities with planning, infrastructure and other development issues that impact the building industry.
The council is composed of individuals who have an interest in issues surrounding land use for commercial, residential and industrial purposes. Work groups are involved in the following areas:
Boone County Planning and Zoning
The Hebron area north of I-275 was shut down for four years to capacity reservations. After a multi-year approach the area was funded for needed improvements to allow growth to happen. During the 2016 and 2017 SD1 budget hearings, the Richwood Road area would have been shut down to development if not for the efforts of this Council.
Members of the Land Development Council have met with the staff of the Northern Kentucky Water District over a period of several months to modify the District’s Developer’s Agreement. The Council also reviewed the District’s proposed Standards and Specifications update. To view the updates and new agreement please visit this link. Please feel free to contact us should you have any questions or comments.
